TRANSPORTATION

Subway
F Train to 2nd Avenue Closest

Take this train to the “Second Avenue ” Stop on the F Line.
The closest exit to us, at the Brooklyn (downtown) end of the stop, puts you on First Avenue and Houston.
Walk North on First Avenue to E 4th Street and turn right.
Walk East on E 4th Street until you reach us.

 

N or R Train to 8th Street

The N or R local trains to “8th Street” (the NYU stop) let out at Broadway and 8th Street.
Walk East on 8th Street, across Astor Place, where the street becomes St Mark’s Place.
Continue to Thompkins Square Park, and turn right on Avenue A.
Continue to E 4th Street, and take a left.
Walk 1/2 block to our door.

6 Train to Bleecker Street

Take the 6 train to Bleecker Street Station.
Walk East on Second Street to Avenue A.
Turn left to walk North, to E 4th Street.
Take a right on 4th and walk 1/2 block to Metropolitan.

 

BUS
M14A Closest

This bus crosses Manhattan on 14th Street, connecting with all uptown/downtown trains and then turns to go downtown Avenue A.
It comes uptown on Avenue A from Grand Street.
Take it to the stop nearest E 4th Street then walk 1/2 block East on 4th.

M15

This bus runs uptown on First Avenue; downtown on 2nd Avenue.
Take it to the stop nearest E 4th Street, then walk 1 and 1/2 blocks East on 4th.

PARKING

If you are coming by car, be sure to leave time to find parking!

We cannot seat latecomers, as doing so means crossing the stage.
Street
Most weeknights and weekend days, parking may be found on the street.
On weekend evenings, the streets get crowded.

Lots
Houston and Essex
Public parking in a guarded lot is available on Avenue A (which becomes Essex Street) just south of Houston.

Essex and Delancey
A municipal garage is also located several blocks farther down Essex, near Delancey.
